There are several products such as soaps as well as laundry detergents that can help a lot to prevent skin problems in babies. The most common skin problems associated with babies are diaper rashes and eczema. Both of these are extremely common in the case of newborn babies. Well, some of the problems have quite long names that are hard to say and often sound scary.

Often we may notice a few marks on the skin of our babies. They may be pimples and these often occur in babies on their noses, cheeks, and foreheads. This acne in the babies often becomes prominent during the first few weeks after birth but they disappear in a few months. Baby acne has nothing to do with whether your child will have acne problem as a teenager. Tiny white spots may also appear on a child’s face during the first few weeks. These are better called as milia.

Rashes caused by diaper diapers are red in color. On the other hand, sore skin that is caused on the genitals or the bottom, is mainly due to wearing a wet diaper for a long period of time. Often, urine and stool can irritate the sensitive skin of babies. Rashes due to diaper can happen whenever babies sleep for long hours without waking up. It is at these times that infection from yeast or bacteria can cause this diaper rash. Many babies have a rash off and on around the mouth or on the chin. This may be caused by drooling. So, it is strongly advised to clean the face of your baby often and very carefully, just after he or she eats something.

In the case of a newborn baby, the skin is always wrinkly and they have a protective covering named vernix on the skin, which that soon peels off naturally during the first week itself. However, in the case of a newborn, care needs to be taken so as to prevent harmful skin rashes.
